Open letter to Residents Page 2

Frank Verrall

Marion City Candidate – Southern Hills Ward

Dear Resident,

My name is Frank Verrall and I am seeking re-election in the upcoming council elections.

I have dedicated much of my time to council meetings, to attending Local Government Association seminars, and to other conferences and courses to bring improvements into our area.

In my term I was honoured to be appointed liaison to Westfield Marion, Marino Hall Committee and the Marion Sports and Community Centre. Furthermore I held the posts of Alternate Director of the Southern Region Waste Resource Authority, a Board Member at Seaview High School and a position on the Murray Darling Association.

Living in the Marion Council and having family residing in its surroundings, I have a firm grasp on the triumphs and challenges of our community. I take a keen interest in transport, open space, sport, housing, and library developments which benefit us all.

I bring my skills, as a retired teacher, a father and grandfather, and a former IT manager, into all that I do. I have a keen commitment to equal opportunity, an all inclusive culture and hard work.

My work at the Marion Council coincides with my contribution to organisations like Meals on Wheels, St Vincent de Paul, the Murray Darling Association Trust, Medecins sans Frontiers and the Adelaide Philharmonia Chorus.
