Marion Southern Hills Ward News

Hello to our close neighbours,

Thank you for your participation in the community consultation about our reserve and play equipment upgrades. These include Gilbertson Gully, Mitchell, George, Cadell, Roy Lander, Alpine, and Grace. Some work has been done and more will be completed during the next term of council. New signage is expected and recycling and watering is a top priority.

Thank you again for the work that you put in to your front gardens and to those of you who maintain the verge between the front fence line and the road. I admire the street scapes in our area.

The four old wards have been broken up to create six new ones with equal voter numbers.

Special thank to Councillor Carol Bouwens who moves from Central Ward to contest Warriparinga Ward.

Very special thanks to Councillor Raelene Telfer who will contest the position of Mayor.

Both are long serving and have special individual talents much appreciated by the community.

Congratulations to Sam Offord a home grown gymnast (Ascot Park Primary and Hamilton Secondary) who struck gold at the Commonwealth games.

Thank you for your ongoing support. I hope you will support me again with a 1 or 2 vote on the “Southern Hills” ballot paper at the forthcoming election.

Hello to the people of Trott Park and Sheidow Park,

Thank you for your participation in the community consultation about our reserve and play equipment upgrades. Some work has been completed and more will be during the next term of council. New signage is expected and recycling and watering is a top priority.

Very special thanks to Councillor Bob Durward who has retired after 17 years of service.
